That’s What He Said Thursday

Carrianne over at Carrianne’s Cuppa and Critiques, has an AWESOME Thursday meme going on! Well, actually it originated on Chapter Break, but I found it through Carrianne.

Here’s how it works: You post a favorite line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. These are direct quotes from dialogue in a book. It is not a physical description of a male protagonist or a paragraph of dialogue. It is a line spoken by our favorite heroes to their lucky ladies (or guys!).

So I read a lot of romance, I swear I do, but since I’ve been on a hard Sci-fi and Fantasy spree for the last months, I can’t come up with anything off the top of my head. Unless you consider Red Mars romantic, you know, when Maya looks into Frank Chalmers’ eyes before orgasming and figures his eyes are like the windows of an empty house.

That is SO NOT romantic, not to mention anti-climatic. Jesus, Maya, get a grip.

Anyway. I decided to go for a line from one of my stories, which is coming out later this year.

Feel free to share yours on your blog and leave a comment so we can check it out 🙂

C.S. Wilde writes about fantastical worlds, love stories larger than life and epic battles. She also, quite obviously, sucks at writing an author bio. She finds it awkward that she must write this in the third person, and hopes you won’t notice.

    Echo nodded, “don’ t die.”
    Abel smiled, “Who me?”
“Yes, I need you …” she let it hang.

Yes, I posted my own, but there is just perfect chemistry between these two.

One of my own favorite quotes said by the lad to the lady must be:
“You are all the colors in one, at full brightness.” ❤
Said by Theodore Finch to Violet Markey. From the book All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.
